Role Overview At amptalk, we employ a compound strategy to deliver multiple products aimed at achieving sales enablement. Until now, quality ownership has been shared across the engineering team, with developers writing automated tests and collaboratively validating releases. As our first dedicated QA hire, you will be responsible for establishing scalable QA processes and improving overall product quality across the organization. In addition to hands-on testing and validation, you will help shape the long-term quality strategy, testing standards, and release processes for our products. This role requires someone who can independently identify quality gaps, propose practical solutions, and collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to improve release confidence while maintaining agility and development speed. As the first QA engineer, you will also have the opportunity to influence testing strategy, tooling, and quality processes across the organization. Job Description: Understand product workflows, business requirements, and release processes to identify quality risks and testing gaps. Establish and improve QA processes, including regression testing, exploratory testing, release validation, and bug reporting standards. Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, integration, and regression testing across products. Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to improve overall product quality and release confidence. Review and improve existing Playwright automation coverage together with engineering teams. Identify opportunities for automation and help define long-term quality engineering strategy. Contribute to improving CI/CD quality gates and release validation workflows. Drive quality-focused discussions and help establish scalable engineering quality practices across the organization. Take ownership of quality initiatives and proactively identify areas for continuous improvement. Must to have 7+ years of experience in QA / Quality Engineering for product-based applications in both Manual and Automation frameworks Hands-on experience with functional, exploratory, and regression testing. Experience working in fast-paced startup or product development environments. Experience with browser automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar. Understanding of software development workflows, CI/CD, and release processes. Nice to have Experience being the first QA hire or helping establish QA processes in growing teams. Experience with API testing and integration testing. Experience improving automation reliability and reducing flaky tests. Knowledge of test strategy, risk-based testing, and release quality metrics. Experience working closely with frontend-heavy applications. Experience contributing to developer testing practices and quality culture improvements.
