Privacy & data
Short version: your data stays in your browser; job data comes from public pages.
Your data stays in your browser
Your profile, saved jobs, applied list, application tracker, saved searches, and everything you type into the resume builders (including the photo you upload) are stored in this browser's localStorage. They are not sent to or stored on our server. There are no accounts and no login. The trade-offs of that design: clearing your browser data erases it, and it doesn't sync between devices — use Export / import data to back it up, move it, or delete it completely.
The optional newsletter is the one exception: if you subscribe, your email address and preferences are stored server-side so we can send it. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe, which also lets you remove your address.
If a future deployment of this site changes any of this (for example, adding accounts or server-side sync), this page will say so explicitly before that applies to you.
Where the job data comes from
Job listings are aggregated from publicly available job pages and public APIs (GaijinPot, TokyoDev, Japan Dev, YOLO Japan, company ATS pages such as Greenhouse and Lever, and aggregators). Every listing links back to the original posting — always apply at the source. Some fields are inferred from posting text by conservative rules (and labeled as such on job pages); inferred or missing data can be wrong or incomplete. Always verify visa, salary, and language requirements with the employer.
Not advice
Guides, calculators, and visa/tax content here are practical information, not legal, immigration, tax, or financial advice. Rules change; for decisions that matter, confirm with the Immigration Services Agency of Japan, your employer, or a licensed professional (行政書士 / immigration lawyer).
