**Your Job** As a Product Engineer, you will design and develop next\-generation board\-to\-board (BTB) connectors for the mobile market, including smartphones, tablets, and AR/VR devices. Based in Minato Mirai, Yokohama, you will lead product design from concept through mass production, working closely with customers and global manufacturing partners. This role is part of an expanding organization following a structural reorganization and offers hands\-on involvement across the full product lifecycle. **Our Team** You will join Group 1, Engineering 1, MSBU, a team responsible for new BTB connector design and development for global customers. The Engineering 1 organization consists of approximately 26 members across Japan and China. Your immediate group includes 4 engineers, primarily in their 20s to 40s. The team collaborates closely with colleagues in China, Korea, and India, providing a diverse, international working environment. The role includes opportunities for online meetings with overseas customers and international business travel. **What You Will Do** * Create and evaluate product concepts based on project planning using 3D CAD and FEA * Propose product concepts to customers and align on product specifications * Design and draft optimal connector solutions in collaboration with internal manufacturing and reliability teams * Identify and resolve technical issues through prototype validation and redesign for mass production * Support product launch activities at domestic and overseas mass production plants **Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)** * Bachelor's degree or higher in Science or Engineering * 3\+ years of experience in product development at an electrical or electronic component manufacturer * Experience with 3D CAD design (Specific software not required; NX is used at Molex) Japanese: Native level or JLPT N2 (for non\-native candidates) English: Beginner to business level proficiency **What Will Put You Ahead** * Willingness to actively use and improve English communication skills * Interest and knowledge in electrical/electronic components and the mobile market * Strong interest in manufacturing, product verification, and validation processes * Experience collaborating with global or cross\-cultural engineering teams At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
