Purchasing Senior Specialist

職務内容／Job duties The purpose is to conduct proper purchasing process based on Rule of Purchase and the other related policies, for the most suitable supplier selection and to take a lead of supplier management to keep the service/goods quality. **【Responsibilities】** 1\) Supplier selection (based on the defined process) and supervise of the other member's task ・To find the potential suppliers, Send the RFQ, collect quotation, make price comparison. ・Negotiation with technically qualified suppliers by BU. ・Decide the supplier based on the global standard of procurement as well as VGJ’s regulation/ approval process. Monitor/follow and support if necessary. 2\) Lead collaboration with BU ・Act as representative of Purchasing toward BU regarding the alignment of the timeline and potential suppliers to be invited the tender. ・Confirm the sufficient document for tender, receive technical evaluation of the suppliers. ・In case of conflict, need to manage and find the solution 3\) Periodical supplier evaluation ・Request BU to evaluate the existing suppliers from quality/deliver of point of view, make general supplier evaluation by adding purchasing evaluation. ・Monitor the result of BPDD and S\-Rating evaluation and take action if necessary. ・Create the summary of evaluation. 4\) Cost saving achievement based on the supplier selection/negotiation and support other members ・Deliver the cost saving by having competition or periodical negotiation with the existing suppliers. ・Track the saving result to achieve KPI. Support/advise for buyer if necessary. 5\) Create supplier strategy/implementation and supervise the other members tasks ・Investigate the market/supplier of the responsible business area, make the mid\-term purchasing strategy (suitable supplier set/allocation of the business, term of contract, negotiation strategy) and implementation. 6\) Strong involvement of the collaboration with the other region and HQ of purchasing ・Information sharing of the responsible business area (supplier, cost level, contract situation) with the other regions and HQ purchasing. Discussion to create the purchasing strategy as region in the area where synergy could be expected. ・Knowhow/knowledge/Experience exchange. Act as representative buyer to other regions. 7\) Lead project base topic ・Lead ad hoc project tasks under the manager (investigate the suppliers, send RFQ, negotiation, confirm the timeline (service start date)) Lead coordination work with BU and external stakeholders. 8\) Purchasing representative for brand ・Take a role of representative of purchasing team to the brand, collect the information on necessary action at Purchasing and share it with the team, give the output as Purchasing to the brand 9\) Lead team common tasks under the manager 10\) Support manager for communication within the team, support team building activity, show proactive attitude for the responsibility **【Main KPIs】** 1\) Cost saving target 2\) Supplier decision by defined timeline based on related regulations/policies 3\) Implementation of supplier management and maintenance 応募資格／Qualifications 1\) Education: BA/BS or equivalent 2\) 5\+years of related experience including indirect purchasing 3\) Language: native in Japanese, business or above in English (both written and spoken) 4\) Expert proficiency in communication/convincing/negotiation skill 5\) Logical thinking/analysis skill to find issues/define the solutions 6\) Expert proficiency in Project Management 7\) Advanced skill in Leadership and Mentoring/training of the members 勤務地／Location Shinagawa or Toyohashi
